The CDC’s relationship with the Kenya Medical Research Institute, which spans four decades, offers students unparalleled access to distinguished medical professionals, scholars, and scientists. Learn research protocol and how to gather and analyze data from experts developing improved delivery of treatments and vaccines for infectious diseases and translating findings into policy recommendations.
Human Rights And Peace Studies In The Balkans
At the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the Balkans represents a diverse mix of cultures, languages, philosophies and religions. Since the violent breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s, the Balkans remain a global epicenter for peacebuilding, inter-religious dialogue, and the promotion and protection of human rights. Led by Instructors Will Johnson and Emina Buzinkic, students in this program will study the challenges and possibilities of human rights and post-conflict peace-building in one of the most dynamic, beautiful, and diverse regions in the world.

Intensive Arabic In Amman (Region under crisis monitoring)
This 9-week summer program is for students who have a strong interest in learning Modern Standard Arabic through an intensive language program in the Middle East. You will attend Arabic classes at the Qasid Arabic Institute in Amman. Students of all levels of Arabic, from novice to advanced, can be accommodated and no prior experience in Arabic language is required. To further enhance your cultural learning and understanding of the country of Jordan, you have the option to participate in excursions to sites of natural, cultural and historical significance in Jordan, such as Petra, Wadi Rum, Dana Nature Reserve, and the Dead Sea.
